On Sunday, September 17th will Prague host yet another German Inline Cup (GIC) event. The race, which is a part of 13th season of LifeInLine tour will also be an open Czech halfmarathon championchips race. By today we have already registered skaters from more than 11 countries and expecting some more in the next days.
Apart fromskaters from Czech republic, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Slovenia we will also have skaters from South America such as Colombia or Venezuela. Last years winner Alexander Bastidas will return to Prague and will be challenged by fresh World champion Felix Rijhnen or Hamilton Patino. Rijhnen is currently the leader of overal ranking of GIC with Bastidas 2nd. We will also see a strong duo of Austrian skaters Jakob Ulreich and Christian Kromoser. In the womens race we will see former world champion Kathi Rumpus, current GIC leader Katarzyna Otrebska or 2nd overall Katja Stieper. All of those skaters will fight for GIC points here in Prague for the third time before next weeks finale in Berlin.
The halfmarathon will not be the only race throughout the day. Childrens races will take part in the morning for both speed and hobby skaters as well as two 10km races, one for speed and one for hobby category. The ciurcuit on Rohanske nabrezi is 2,7km long with a very smooth surface.
Felix Rijhnen: When I was small, we were racing in Benatky nad Jizerou, which is near Prague every year, but now it´s been over 10 years. I am looking forward to racing in Prague and will stay couple days to see the city before leaving to Berlin with my team mates.
